Parent/Child Playgroups

The Family, Infant and Preschool Program (FIPP) provides nationally recognized parent-child playgroups at each of its centers in Alexander, Burke, and Caldwell. Parent-child playgroups are facilitated playgroups designed for children birth through age three and their parents. Playgroups offer opportunities for parents to engage their children in interest-based learning opportunities in fun, safe environments with the support of a facilitator and other parents. Each playgroup provides opportunities for parents to engage with their children, try specific responsive parenting techniques, and reflect on the benefits of their supportive interactions. FIPP offers parent-child playgroups with specific themes and that focus on special populations such as newborns, and teen parents.

To talk with someone about parent-child playgroups, contact your local FIPP Family Resource Center (FRC).
