Newborn Hospital to Home Services
The Family, Infant and Preschool Program's (FIPP) Newborn Hospital to Home Services provide follow-up support for infants born at risk developmentally or with disabilities and their families both in the hospital and on discharge home. Specifics services include, but are not limited to: in-home nursing assessment, postpartum depression screenings, home-based parenting education and support, nutrition support, developmental screenings, and evaluations, and identification of a medical home.
Newborn Hospital to Home Services provide parents the opportunity to learn about newborn and infant development in unique ways by exploring their new baby's interests. FIPP accepts referrals directly from parents, hospitals, physicians, The Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) and other community based agencies and programs.
