Fatherhood support
The Family, Infant and Preschool Program (FIPP) encourages father and father figure involvement in all aspects of its programming. The Fatherhood Program, however, was created specifically for fathers and father figures. The Fatherhood Program is designed to provide men with the opportunity to fellowship with one another while sharing information and experiences of fatherhood. The program combines capacity-building parent education, child interest-based activities, and community service opportunities in an effort to strengthen families while building caring and responsive communities. Monthly activities are planned by the group of fathers and father figures in each county with several program-wide activities planned each year. The Fatherhood Program has taken camping trips, completed landscaping projects, and engaged in conversations about the changing nature of fatherhood within the modern family.
