Preschool and Child Care Inclusion
Family, Infant and Preschool Program Child Care Program Supports examine evidence-based supports promoting the abilities of caregivers in child care centers and family child care homes to enhance children's participation and learning in these settings. Areas of support for child care providers include, but are not limited to:
- Early literacy
- Behavioral supports
- Classroom organization
- Early childhood practices promoting the full participation of all children, including children with disabilities and delays
FIPP's child care program supports promote caregivers' awareness of the availability of other FIPP resources and serve as a point of access to FIPP for families interested in parenting supports and assistance with promoting learning opportunities for their children. This program area provides research opportunities for examining the characteristics of effective child care program practices and the characteristics of approaches promoting the adoption and use of these practices.
