The Family, Infant and Preschool Program seeks an organized and personable professional to provide comprehensive early childhood and family support services to families with young children and pregnant women through FIPP's Early Head Start. The position is based in Lenoir, NC with some travel to Alexander and Burke Counties, and extensive travel to Caldwell County.
Job responsibilities include:
The Early Head Start Home Visitor conducts weekly home visits to provide support for child development, health services coordination, parenting support and assistance identifying and accessing resources. The position involves working with children birth through age three and pregnant women. Services must be provided in accordance with FIPP mission, vision and principles and Head Start federal regulations. Significant travel to families homes home resource centers and FIPP meetings required.
Prerequisites:
Prefer a bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field and experience with infants and toddlers and their families. Applicant should have good communication and documentation skills as well as strong skills in building community and family relationships, mobilizing parent involvement and promoting the program within the community.
