EHS assistant teacher / substitute teacher
The Family, Infant and Preschool Program seeks experienced infant-toddler caregivers for an Early Head Start program in Alexander, Burke, and Caldwell Counties to serve as substitutes and assistant teachers in mixed-age classrooms of eight children.
Job responsibilities include:
Providing direct care and supervision for up to eight children. Services must be provided in accordance with FIPP mission, vision, and principles and Early Head Start federal regulations. Some travel and attendance at FIPP meetings may be required. Depending upon assignment of work location, this position may require travel to areas within Alexander, Burke, or Caldwell counties.
Prerequisites:
Prefer a candidate with a degree in early childhood or related field and experience with infants and toddlers and their families. Candidates must have strong relational skills and good communication skills. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
